No greenhouse gasses are involved in the warm up for the 39th Roskilde festival. Music lovers from all over the world gather from Sunday to a green warm up for the largest North European culture and music festival.
The band list for Roskilde Festival 2009 includes Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Coldplay, Faith No More, Pet Shop Boys, SlipKnot and Kanye West. Together with the crowd they will experience a festival that has gone green.
Not least at the sustainable Odeon Stage. Odeon is greener than ever. Here you can eat sun-heated relief porridge, drink rainwater from a luminous water tower and hang out in hammocks under a covering with power-producing solar cells.
Or what about a Fenris Wheel Ride running on green energy 30 metres above the ground with a view to Orange Stage? To get your turn you have to help generate power for the wheel.
Climate Community camping area
Real green festival fans have in their preparations taken Green Footstep towards a greener world and a central spot at the camping area. The lucky have got special access to a central spot in the camping area early Sunday before the area opens for everyone. To get in they have contributed to a greener world and have taken Green Footsteps for a better world. These includes going by bike, register their energy consumption and sorting their garbage.
At the Climate Community the crowd can free their inner climate freak!
